해외 언론 잇달아 윤석열 정권 비정상이라고 비판

프랑스 르몽드지, 김건희 여사 과거 콜걸 의혹 보도

영국 더 타임스 윤석열의 천공, 무당, ‘라스푸틴‘에 비유

국정이 미신에 좌우되고 정신 나간 기괴한 부부 운운

 

작년 3월 프랑스의 정론지로 정평이 있는 세계적으로 유명한 일간 신문 ‘르 몽드’ Le Monde가 윤석열의 처 김건희의 과거 "call-girl" 의혹을 보도한데 이어, 어제 2월 22일자 영국의 ‘권위있는 정론지’ ‘더 타임스’ The Times가 윤석열의 멘토 점쟁이 사이비 무당 천공(이병철)에 윤석열이 조종 당한다는 의혹을 제기했다.

21세기 대한민국의 국가 이미지는 러시아 제국 말기 사이비 점쟁이 무당 ‘라스푸틴’에 의해 왕조가 파산되는 것에 영향을 끼친 역사에 비교되는 반문명국가로, 졸지에 대한민국은 야만적인 국가로, 미신(迷信)에 의해 국정이 좌우되는 미친나라로, 정신나간 기괴한 부부가 대한민국이란 국가를 지배한다는 의혹을 '더 타임스'가 전 세계에 타전했다. 이런 문제 제기에 윤석열은 이렇게 답했다고 기사 제목을 달았다.

“한국의 윤석열(차마 대통령이란 표현은 나는 안하고 못한다. 그래왔고 앞으로도 그럴 것이다. 나는 줄곧 윤석열을 다단계 검찰쿠데타 수괴 정치검사로 표기하고 있다. 김상수註)은 자신의 정치적 판단이 미신에 의해 좌우된다는 소문을 잠재우기 위해, 청와대 포기 이전 결정에 러시아 라스푸틴과 같은 점쟁이의 영향을 받았다는 주장에 대해 명예훼손 혐의로 소송을 제기했다.

윤석열은 청와대 이전에 ‘천공’이라는 자칭 예언자가 개입됐다고 주장한 기자, 전 국회의원, 전 국방부 대변인 등 7명을 명예훼손으로 고소했다.

윤석열 ‘용산사무소’는 이달 초 “청와대 결정 과정에 점쟁이가 개입했다는 터무니없는 허위 주장을 제기하는 것은 공무원과 국민에 대한 모독”이라고 말했다. “공정하고 합리적인 증거에 기반한 것이라면 누구나 의혹을 제기할 수 있다. 다만 누가 의혹을 제기하면 증거와 증인을 통해 사실관계를 확인할 수 있어야 한다”고 말했다.

윤석열은 천공이 윤석열의 정계 입문 전부터 비공식 조언자이자 멘토 역할을 해왔다고 주장하는 흰수염 천공을 “알고있다”라고 인정했다.

윤석열은 1948년부터 대통령의 관저였던 '청와대'를 옮기겠다고 선거 유세 기간 공약했다.

그러나 부승찬 전 국방부 대변인은 그의 저서에서 "천공이 대통령 경호실장과 또 다른 정치고문을 동반해 청와대 대안 부지를 살펴보고 대통령 관저로서의 적합성까지 조언했다"고 주장한다.

윤석열은 대선 유세 기간 동안 주술사로부터 초자연적인 조언을 받았다는 보도를 부인해야 했다. 텔레비전 토론을 하는 동안 그의 왼쪽 손바닥에 ‘왕’을 뜻하는 한자가 표시되어 있음을 분명히 볼 수 있었다. 그의 측근들은 지지자가 그를 격려하는 방법으로 손바닥에 쓴 것이며 그가 그것을 지우지 못한 것일 뿐이라고 주장했다.

President Yoon of South Korea is suing for libel over claims that he was influenced by a Rasputin-like soothsayer in his decision to abandon the presidential palace, his latest effort to quell rumours that his political judgement is clouded by superstition.

Yoon has brought criminal libel complaints against seven people, including journalists, an MP and former spokesman for the defence ministry, who claimed that a self-styled prophet known as Cheongong was involved in the relocation of the presidential office and residence after three-quarters of a century.

“Raising absurd fake allegations that a fortune-teller was involved in the decision process is an insult to public servants and the people,” Yoon’s office said earlier this month. “Anyone can raise suspicions as long as it is based on fair and reasonable evidence. However, whoever raises a suspicion should be able to verify the facts with evidence and witnesses.”

The president admits knowing Cheongong, a white-bearded sage, who claims to have acted as an unofficial adviser and mentor to Yoon since before he entered politics.

Yoon promised during his election campaign to move out of the presidential “Blue House”, which had been the home to presidents since 1948, on the basis that a less isolated central location would make him more accessible.

But a book by the former defence ministry spokesman, Boo Seung-chan, claims that Cheongong accompanied the president’s security chief and another political adviser to view an alternative property and to advise on its suitability as a presidential home.

Yoon had to deny reports during his campaign that he took supernatural advice from shamans. During one televised debate, the Chinese character for king, pronounced wang in Korean, could clearly be seen on his left palm. His aides insisted that it had been written there by a supporter as a way of encouraging him, and that he had simply failed to scrub it off.

But scrutiny of two previous television debates showed that he had the same mark on his hand then, suggesting either that he did not wash regularly or that it was a kind of talisman, intended to harness supernatural powers in his political campaign. Later he also had to deny associating with an “anal acupuncturist”.

Superstitious beliefs and practices still have their place in South Korea. Yoon’s wife, Kim Keon-hee, gained her doctoral degree with a dissertation about fortune-telling. Yoon was reported to have taken a fortune-teller with him to meetings to discuss political strategy.

Such beliefs are politically toxic because of Park Geun-hye, the country’s president until 2017, who spent three years in prison for corruption. Several of her crimes were associated with a shaman who conducted rituals in the Blue House.(The Times)
